Chris happily utilizes all of his experience working for banks and feels he has an expanded capacity and ability to serve clients by working for an independent advisory firm. “I work with clients that want a manager that is actively managing their portfolios. Global View Capital Advisors has the tools and resources that help me tactically manage my clients’ portfolios, which I believe is important in helping protect people from potential market losses during down market cycles.”
“With tactical management, we can reduce losses and get a client into the market at the right time to increase their growth potential. Most advisors use the old “buy and hold” method of riding the ups and downs in the market. Global View Capital Advisors has the tools and resources to avoid this OLD way of investing.”
“I also provide retirement planning services for my clients when they are within five to 10 years of retirement, and then on into the retirement stages of life. I help them set up personal pensions, often increasing the monthly income which can be created from their hard-earned savings,” Christopher says. “Retirement is tricky when it comes to portfolios and we try to create a strategy to avoid problems down the road. I also help them with their lifestyle goals during retirement. If they can look at the big picture of what they actually want to do in retirement, then I can help get them there with different strategies and tools.”
When it comes to his career, Chris enjoys helping clients most of all. He says, “I love seeing a plan come together. When we put money into vehicles that should help them achieve their financial goals then that makes me happy. We provide a service that benefits clients throughout their lives. My goal is to give them some peace of mind knowing that the plan we have in place for them will work,” Chris says.
Chris grew up Rexburg, Idaho and received his business management degree from BYI-Idaho. He loves volunteering his time with his church. “I find joy in rubbing shoulders with good people in our community. I also volunteer some time to helping with local associations because I enjoy helping local groups achieve their goals. Giving back to the community is important to me,” he says.
Married to his best friend Charity for 23 years, the couple lives in Idaho Falls and they have five children. “We have five awesome kids—one boy and four girls. We are sports family and we spend a lot of time together in gyms. It is so fun to spend time with them!”
In his free time, Chris loves to golf and fish. “I spend a lot of time playing the awesome sport of golf. And when it comes to fishing, I especially love fly fishing in Idaho.”
